Everybody has that person,
that one that's been there for all time,
I'd risk my neck for them, and I did,
but it can sometimes backfire.

But then they'll forgive and forget
because the friendship is true,
well, that's me and you.

I'm not, I'm not gonna beg you to stay
but you, you never let me say
what I needed to say.

You have a way of looking
at a problem and walking away.
But that's your mistake.

And I know I have a way of searching
for ways to make endless things work
and that's not okay.

But you never let me say

that you could keep staring until you're blind.

And I know I have a way of dancing
around the full-fledged open truth,
but not with you.
