Every night
she wakes up crying, but he
he just closes his eyes.
And every day,
she slips on futher until
she thinks the struggle isn't worth fighting for.
Now we'll never know
We'll never know
We'll never know
what could've come.
All of his life,
they've said he's crazy and
now he's starting to think maybe they're right.
Because when he dreams
all of his demons awake
so he takes his guaranteed escape.
He gave up on life.
Now we'll never know
We'll never know
We'll never know
what could've come.
We all have a chance!
We all deserve to dance!
So don't believe them when they say that you
are worthless, just believe me,
life is always worth it.
We have to know,
we have to know,
we have to know
what's to come.
Don't you want to know?
Don't you want to show them all?
Don't you want to know
what's to come?
Here's to the pained,
and here's to the broken; don't
Don't let them win this fight.

Wooden Castle (Unfinished)
Just a little girl in that pick-up truck
with the windows down and the radio up.
Singing together to my favorite song,
and you pretend I didn't sing half of the lyrics wrong.
I'm in the middle as we drive on along
through this one-horse kingdom that we call home.
This is forever to a six year old,
this is where my heart belongs.
He's my Knight in shining armor,
she's the beloved Beauty Queen,
and together we rode along in our blue Chevy steed
heading toward our wooden castle
where all my fairytales come true.
Yeah, that was happily ever after,
sitting right there with you.
Somewhere the fantasy seemed to fade to gray.
Real life stepped in and got in the way.
My Knight grew older, and with age came stress
Our Kingdom's loyalty was really put to the test.
But they stood firmly, no, they wouldn't sway,
They gave everything to keep our wooden castle safe.
And like a pillar, they stand side-by-side,
shining brighter than the stars in my childhood eyes.
with the windows down and the radio up.
He's my Knight in shining armor,
she's the beloved Beauty Queen,
and together they are everything that I'll ever need
Standing in our wooden castle
where all my fairytales come true.
Yeah, that was happily ever after,
standing right there with you.
As the years have passed, our castle has undergone storms.
But my years of memories will always live on.
As I stand here in the darkness, I can almost hear the horns,
can almost see the world through the eyes of that little girl.
